Buck The Saw does in another log. Note the pieces of wood directly under the cut. These are there to protect the saw if it "falls" after completing the cut. These two man cross cut saws are no longer being made and are not replaceable. So much care is taken with them to prevent any damage. (Normal wear and tear is all that happens to them.)
