The family had the saw for an unknown amount of time before 1950. If you look carefully at the picture you will see that there is a bend in the blade that I put there, as a teenager, when I got frustrated with making a "cut" later on in the 50s.
When it got dull we used to take it down town to be sharpened by Joe Eastman. Since then I have had Dolly Chapman sharpen it. Dolly sharpened it in 2006.
